Week Calendar

Although the title is “advanced” we cater to all levels of players, and beginners are encouraged to attend due to the engaging listening sessions and conversations we incorporate each week.

In this weekly lesson students will learn basic skills and beyond. Subjects covered will include the physical properties of the instrument, how to interpret and read tablature and chord boxes, and how to play 2 to 4 chord songs.

One of our Library staff members will demonstrate how to use VEGA, the library's newest online catalog, to uncover content and explore new titles with a simple design and user friendly interface.

This course is being offered to those wishing to gain the necessary skills for Latin dancing. Emphasis will be placed on developing fundamental techniques such as hip, body and arm movements as well as feet positions, footwork and more.
