Rhapsody in Blue, 100th Anniversary– In-person lecture

This program, with presenter Jack Schnur, will feature interviews and commentary by Leonard Bernstein, Michael Tilson Thomas and Michael Feinstein on how the piece was created and will include performances by Leonard Bernstein, Lang Lang and Herbie Hancock.  There will also be clips from other Gershwin works such as Concerto in F, An American in Paris and Porgy and Bess, featuring Audra McDonald singing “Summertime.”  Mr. Schnur will end the program by singing the last song George Gershwin and his brother Ira wrote, “Our Love is Here to Stay.”
