The 2022 Long Island Reads pick is The Living and the Lost by Ellen Feldman. The author will speak in person on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 2:00pm at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library, 999 Old Country Road, Plainview, NY 11803.

Ellen Feldman, a 2009 Guggenheim Fellow and Amagansett, Long Island resident, is the author of Terrible Virtue, The Unwitting, Next to Love, Scottsboro (shortlisted for the Orange Prize), The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank (translated into nine languages), Paris Never Leaves You and Lucy. She grew up in northern New Jersey and attended Bryn Mawr College, from which she holds a B.A. and an M.A. in modern history.
