LATE MICHELANGELO: The Last Decades - In-Person Lecture

Summoned by Pope Clement VII to paint a fresco of the Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo’s return to Rome brought him many new and important commissions. This visual lecture, presented by Professor Thomas Germano, looks at the last 30 years of Michelangelo’s remarkable life, during which time he produced some of the most innovative and masterful works of his career.
