Program Description

Event Details

In Brazil, skewered meats are cooked slowly over open fires.  This style of cooking is called churrasco.  Join Chef Brian Collins as he demonstrates how to prepare one of the most famous Brazilian churrasco dishes - picanha, a skewered steak, and piri piri chicken, which reflects Brazil’s Portuguese heritage, via Africa.  The dish will be accompanied by farofa (a grits-like dish made from toasted manioc meal), garlic collard greens, and chick-pea salad.
