Grades 5-12.  Tweens and teens will have the opportunity to make cards, both holiday and all season, for children and teens receiving treatment in hospitals.

Grades 5-12.  Tweens and teens will have the opportunity to assist the guests of the Interfaith Nutrition Network (The INN) in Hempstead through our new travel size toiletry program.

Grades 5-12.  Turn cans and bottles into community service hours by returning deposit bottles to a local supermarket.  Simply return the cans and bottles and then email a photo of the bottle return receipt to familycenter@poblib.org.&nbs

Grades 5-12.  Cut and clip for a good cause.  Help military families overseas by clipping grocery coupons.  Stores on overseas military bases accept manufacturer coupons from the United States.  To assist the Troopons program,

Color and create bookmarks that will be displayed and given out to children who visit the Family Center.  All registered participants are asked to pick up a craft kit, in the Family Center, containing three bookmark templates. 

Grades 5-12.  Learn how to make dessert cups using balloons and melted chocolate.  Delicious treats to fill the dessert cups will be included.  Due to the perishable nature of this program, please register and pick up the kit by Wed

Ages 3-5 NOT including Kindergartners with accompanying adult. Children will learn how to create some Fall animals as well as a tree using paint and a variety of craft materials.

Grades K-4 with accompanying adult. Can you "beleaf" it's fall already? Participants will learn how to decorate their leaf shaped cookies with sugar glaze.

Grades K-4. Invite the fall season in and spend some creative time learning how to paint a realistic looking white pumpkin with a few simple techniques and finished with a giant bow!
