Named a "Mover and Shaker" by Library Journal, Tanisha Mitchell is best known for her innovative work in the arts at the Metropolitan Opera and the Freeport Memorial Library.  Mitchell will delight us with a live aria performance and lecture of Carmen.  Once a controversial opera, Carmen is now the most popular opera performed internationally. Carmen is a timeless representation of love, lust and seduction gone wrong.
