Henri Matisse’s (1869-1954) The Red Studio, 1911 will be the center of an exhibition at the MoMA focusing on the germination and history of the artist’s work.  Professor Thomas Germano will discuss in person the painting in the context of the MoMA’s exhibition in addition to other works from Matisse’s early career.
