Program Description

Event Details

With real and gritty characters, white knuckle suspense, a real life monster, and theme music that still haunts you after all these years, Jaws is the film that coined the expression “The Summer Blockbuster” and made Director Steven Spielberg a legend. Presenter Larry Wolff will explore the making of the film, including the trials and tribulations of filming a sea based movie at sea instead of a studio tank. We'll also discover why the filming of this thrilling movie was not quite planned the way the finished product appears on the screen. Film highlights will be screened following the presentation. Original soundtrack and a book and memorabilia display, including the original movie one sheet poster and rare lobby cards will be featured as well.
