Gregor Mendel (1822-1884), an Austrian monk-scientist, was the father of Genetics. He observed that organisms inherit traits by way of discrete “units of inheritance.” In 1928, Frederick Griffith discovered transformation - that DNA is the molecule responsible for inheritance. Join lecturer Saul Silas Fathi as we explore this fascinating branch of science and how it relates to everything from our appearance to our health and advancements in medical research.
