Event Details

Franco Corelli was an Italian tenor celebrated for his powerhouse voice, electrifying top notes, clear timbre, passionate singing and remarkable performances. He performed in every major opera house in the world, singing all of the leading Spinto and dramatic roles in the Italian repertoire, with frequent forays into French roles. This talk, with Marc Courtade, will celebrate Corelli’s career, beginning in 1951 when he debuted as Don Jose in Carmen in Spoleto, and ending with his final performances in 1976.
