Professor Thomas Germano will present a virtual zoom lecture about Edward Hopper (1882–1967).  Hopper found artistic value and cultural significance in the most commonplace sites and settings. His art was anchored through the use of light and shadows and he edited out superfluous details to show the spare depictions of familiar public and private spaces.
