Program Description

Event Details

Entering grades 5-12.  Tweens and teens will have the opportunity to earn community service credit by coloring for Color A Smile.  As described on the organizations website, "Color A Smile is a nonprofit organization that distributes cheerful drawings to senior citizens, our troops overseas, and anyone in need of a smile.  Every month we mail thousands of new drawings to all the people on our mailing list."

Please read the guidelines below before you begin.

The supplies needed will include the print out of the drawing(s) of your choice, markers, crayons, and/or colored pencils.  Completed pictures are to be dropped off to Mrs. Greco in the Family Center.  When dropping off your completed work, please let the Family Center staff member know your first and last name so that you can receive the correct community service credit.  However, only include your first name on the picture itself.  Please do not mail the drawings directly.  The library will be mailing out batches of pictures as needed.  Each drawing will earn the participant 1 hour of community service credit, with a maximum of 5 hours per month.  Please take your time and create pictures that you are proud to give to someone else.
