Program Description

Event Details

Grades 5-12.  Tweens and teens will have the opportunity to create an adorable bird feeder and learn how to make edible glue for the roof! All registered participants are asked to pick up a craft kit, in the Family Center, containing most of the materials needed for the program.  Additionally, there will be a link provided for an instructional video.  Each registered participant will earn two hours of community service credit for watching the video below and for emailing a photo of the completed bird feeder to the Family Center at familycenter@poblib.org.  Completed bird feeders can then be hung from a tree in your yard or shared with a friend.

Please note, the kit will include a small wooden bird feeder, a foam brush, bird seed and a packet of gelatin.  Additional supplies needed are water, flour, corn syrup, and outdoor or all-weather paint if you choose to paint the bird feeder.
